  I love the Bulk Barn! It's my favorite place to stock up on snacks. The selection is really incredible, especially if you're into baking. This location is a little larger than the downtown one I think, which means even more selection.

  The same situation happened to me as the previous reviewer. I guarantee I don't know this person L Shepherd. I grew up in Europe and not only I find mind blowing that in this "community" on the Westshore very few people seems to understand the importance of using your own shopping bag but also people would be rude if you do, being the Bulk Barn a tragic example of poor customer service! I tried to bring a CLEAN plastic container I had actually purchased there before so it has their "label" to buy some almond butter. No. Not possible. It had to be new. Same thing with other items. Can't bring your own bag etc. etc. I won't repeat the story as it is almost verbatim as the experience of this other customer. Plus, the cashier was rude. She looked at me as if I was homeless or a weird species coming from another planet for bringing my own bag and container. I felt unwelcome every time I had been to that store.

  Have always enjoyed shopping here, like the selection and location. I sometimes have an issue with the weight of things I buy being vastly higher at check out than the in store scales (never lower), but will just not get the items that ring up 50-75% more weight at check out. I was SHOCKED today to be asked if I brought my own bags, which I always do to save using theirs every time, in the spirit of bulk buying in my mind. I was expecting to be told there was a new small discount for bringing my own bags like some other stores do, but instead was told YOU"RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT ANYMORE!?! What store FORBIDS reusing bags? Brutal. I've got an email into their head office on this, it's really shameful. No explanation was offered by the store staff.
