  Always a good atmosphere- we were there in Canada day when it was super busy and they were able to accommodate a larger party with children no problem. Awesome patio. Beer is good too.

  Our server was awesome and they accommodated us very well. Have a good variety or indoor, outdoor, private and social seating options. I would recommend Canoe for a group event. Also the drinks are a fair price, especially the Scotch and other spirits.

  On a warm summers day, you can't beat a beer on the patio at the Canoe Club in downtown Victoria. Great location, nice views of the busy gorge waterway, and friendly wait staff. Also, the beer and food taste good. Now some unfortunate negatives. The server is often a little slow and the wait staff appear to have quite a large number of tables under their care, so they can sometimes forget a drink or two. The food and drink is also quite expensive. A burger is $17.50 + tax and tip. The food is good, but that's quite a lot to spend on a burger that doesn't even include bacon (that's an extra cost).

  I love the atmosphere of this place and nothing beats the patio in the summer. Some more vegan/vegetarian options would be nice, as this is Victoria, but I get that we're not their main demographic. Great food, great drinks, awesome atmosphere.

  We end up here by default because of its location. Service seems to always be slow, tough to get the bill when you want to leave. Last night's mussels had seen better days and I specifically asked if they were good and if they were fresh. Tiny, tough and stringy. Translation, old. I should know having been a seafood distributor for twenty years Didn't want to make a fuss, being part of a large group but next time will ask if the everyone doesn't mind ​going to another pub.
