  I celebrated my birthday this morning at John's Place. We had a party of 8 and made a reservation ahead of time. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The service was outstanding! Our server, Avril, was very friendly and accommodating. She was frequently singing as she went about her morning and just very pleasant to interact with. Our food came out at a reasonable time and was very tasty. I also got a free birthday brownie with whipped cream! Despite the fact that the place was absolutely packed, all the servers were in high spirits and worked like a well-oiled machine. All in all, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good brunch spot. The fact that they take reservations for brunch is a huge bonus too (a lot of brunch places in Victoria do not). I will definitely be coming back here!

  John's Place is very busy, a small quaint place... that is a little too cozy for me. The food is great! But, the place is small for a family as large as mine. Its a place where you can count on the best Eggs Benny any day of the week!! Seriously, you must try it! John's Place is where you can expect to enjoy fresh food with the company of close friends!

  Our favorite place to go as locals. There are so many places in Victoria, But we always come back here. We almost always have the same server (Averil), and the service is as good as the food. If you have one breakfast/brunch in Victoria, this is the best all around place to go with less of a wait than Jam (for example). Enjoy!

  I came here for breakfast which I was lucky because I didn't have to wait in the long line. The menu there has different varieties and selections for you to choose. I got the sweet strawberry shortcake waffle while my boyfriend got a savory dish. I think the food is good, but nothing was so special about it. The decoration there makes the place really cool and unique. Staff there is really friendly.
