  When calling in to order my food deciding the lady on the phone rushed me off because she had a line and told me to hurry up and pick a side. I ordered the most simple thing which was chicken strips with no side. When i got to the restaurant to pick it up i got 3 small luke warm strips that were $9.75 for just the strips...not worth $9.75 even if my customer service had been better. I was a fan of the pastries and baked goods but never there entries due to everything being over priced, after that experience i dont think i will be going back.

  I've been eating at Sol Food for nine years now and thought it's finally time to share my thoughts on this place! I love their food - their featured entrees of the day are always so flavourful but better than a typical restaurant because they're healthy, home-cooked-style meals. Their chef is amazing and always comes up with fantastic dishes that are worthy of five stars. The soups are also of the same quality, and they have a large selection of salads to choose from. I also appreciate the staff - very friendly, and even if there's a line-up you don't wait long at all.

  Sol Food Cafe is one of the best eating establishments in the city. The food is always fresh, there's a variety to choose from, and the kitchen staff go over-and-above in their attention to good quality 'home-cooked' meals.

  Poor value but OK if you're in a rush. Sol is the kind of place where you line up and place your order and then they'll bring it to your seat. There's lots on the menu and there's always a daily special. I find the specials vary greatly in quality and often are pretty bland. Every so often they do something like fried chicken and it's awesome but on average it's nothing to write home about. Chicken burger is OK. Lunch runs me around $15, which if you go across the street to Glo you can spend about the same for a much better lunch experience with a view of the Gorge.
